You no longer have to send us e-mails asking what merch we have for sale and how much it costs to ship. Yes, now you can now purchase our merch online from the Primitive Air-Raid webstore!

FEBRUARY 1ST, 2008 -
Woah... Long time since an update! The band has started working on new material. We'll be playing a few local shows in the late winter/early spring. As well, we're going to be in Minneapolis on March 14th to play the 2nd annual Fashionable Idiots anniversary show and will be touring throughout the US in May and playing Chaos In Tejas 2008 in Austin, TX, which runs May 15th through 17th. For more details, check out the "live" section.

OCTOBER 18TH, 2007 -
We have two new releases out. Primitive Air-Raid has made Come Clean available on vinyl finally. Escape Artist and Fashionable Idiots has released Black Bile on CD and 12" vinyl. If you'd like to get a copy, you can either order through us or if you would like to order through a distro and are having troubles, get in touch and we'll see if we can point you in the right direction. In other news, we're going to be playing a show with Chicago's Canadian Rifle at the Rocker on November 30th. More info here.

Oh, and if anyone has photos or video of Under Pressure from our US tour, please get in touch.

Two new songs off of Black Bile, "Human Meat" and "Whip And Rein", are now available for download. We'll be having our sendoff show at the Red Road Lodge on July 22nd with the Agitations, Human Garbage and Vile Hands. More details in the "live" section.

JUNE 5TH, 2007 -
Both Black Bile and Come Clean have been sent off to be mastered. Black Bile will be released on 12" vinyl by Fashionable Idiots and CD by Escape Artist. Come Clean will be released on 12" vinyl by Primitive Air-Raid. All three releases will be availble July, just in time for Under Pressure's US tour.

Under Pressure will be playing a show with Raiden, Ramirez and the Untrained Eyes at the Red Road Lodge on May 20th. More info in the "live" section.

APRIL 29TH, 2007 -
Here's some new developments regarding Come Clean... The album was first released on Germany's Yellow Dog Records in July 2006 for the band's European tour. Escape Artist Records has now issued a North American pressing of the CD, so now copies can be purchased through either label. And... Primitive Air-Raid is finally going to be issuing Come Clean on vinyl in time for the US tour. About time, huh?

APRIL 14TH, 2007 -
We're in the final stages of mixing the 12". It will feature 8 new tracks and will be released by Fashionable Idiots in time for our July/August US tour. We'll be playing a slew of shows leading up to our departure. Consult the "live" section for the most current information. So far we have a show with Defect Defect (Portland) on April 30th at the Label Gallery and another with Fucked Up (Toronto) on July 10th at the Collective Cabaret. Stay tuned... And hopefully we'll have some MP3 previews of the first recorded output featuring the dangerous duo of Joe Warkentin and Mike Requeima on guitars.

FEBRUARY 2ND, 2007 -
Two big developments... We'll be entering the recording studio for the first time with the new lineup. Once again, Craig Boychuk will be behind the boards. Expect a new slab of 12" vinyl (along with a vinyl pressing of Come Clean--finally!) just in time for our... 2007 US tour. (A roughed-out schedule is up in the "live" section.) Stay tuned for more details...

DECEMBER 22ND, 2006 -
Well lookee here... Under Pressure is going to be playing a New Year's Eve show! Kittens, Hide Your Daughters and Electro Quarterstaff will also be playing. Kittens are also playing the 30th at the Collective Cabaret. If you don't know who Kittens are and that they've reformed for this special event... well, nevermind then. This is a private party with very limited capacity, so buy your ticket before they sell out. More details in the "live" section. Other than that, we're currently hiding out in our practice space, working on an upcoming release and also a 2007 US tour.

SEPTEMBER 28TH, 2006 -
All the details for our October 21st and 22nd Winnipeg shows with Sweden's the Regulations have been posted in the "live" section. We have copies of the self-titled 12" as well as the Come Clean CD, so check out our updated "merch" section. Jason finally got around to uploading the photographs that he took on the band's European tour. You can view them on his Flickr account for now. A full gallery, featuring other people's photography as well, is slowly being put together for the website.

AUGUST 25TH, 2006 -
Back from Europe! Spending over a month on the road playing shows throughout Germany, the Netherlands, Denmark, Sweden, Finland, the Czech Republic and Austria was a fantastic experience, and one that we hope to repeat sooner rather than later. We'll have some tour photos up on the site within a few weeks.

Now that we're home, we'd like to send out a reminder that we have copies of the s/t 12" as well as the new full length CD release, Come Clean, up for grabs. E-mail us to arrange a mail order or come to a show if you'd like a copy.

We'll probably be playing our first show back in Winnipeg sometime in September and will also be supporting Sweden's the Regulations on their two Winnipeg dates on October 21st and 22nd. Stay tuned for more details...

JULY 8TH, 2006 -
Even better news! The s/t 12" on Primitive Air-Raid has arrived! PAR and UP are the same thing, so get in touch (wholesale inquiries as well). We're leaving for Europe on July 19th, so make sure you get your orders in before then, or else you'll be waiting for a while.

JUNE 13TH, 2006 -
Good news! The s/t 12" on Primitive Air-Rad should be out in about 2 weeks, and the Come Clean CD on Yellow Dog should also be out at around the same time. To tide you over in the meantime, here's our interview from Maximumrocknroll.

MAY 31ST, 2006 -
The Come Clean album has finally been mixed and mastered. Expect a June release for the CD on Yellow Dog Records out of Germany, with vinyl to follow in Fall 2006 on Primitive Air-Raid. Two songs from the forthcoming album are now available for download here. Check them out!

MAY 14TH, 2006 -
Thanks to everyone who came out to the show on May 12th. We had a hell of a good time and hope that you did as well. Latest developments: the 8-song 12" has been mastered and sent to the pressing plant; we're now waiting for test pressings. And a note to European show promoters: Linked above is a page with full size tour poster designs which you can download in tiff format.

APRIL 14TH, 2006 -
It's time to unveil the new lineup! Under Pressure is now a 5-piece, with Joe Warkentin on lead guitar and Mike Requeima on rhythm guitar. The launch will be on Friday, May 12th at the Red Road Lodge. Electro Quarterstaff and some other friends of ours will also be playing. More info in the "live" section. In other news, the long wait for the release of our full length is almost over. The CD will be out on Yellow Dog Records in time for our July/August European tour. And speaking of releases, the self-titled 8-song recordings will be out on 12" vinyl courtesy of Primitive Air-Raid come June.

APRIL 5TH, 2006 -
The venue for the April 9th show has been changed. It will now be held at the Red Road Lodge, located on Main at Logan. The good news is that this is just across the street from the Annex, where the show was initially booked.

MARCH 27TH, 2006 -
After 3 years, Pat has decided to move on. We wish him all the best. There'll be one last show with Pat on guitar. It's going down at the Annex (594 Main St) on Sunday, April 9th. Kursk, the City Champs and Ramirez will be playing. More details in the "live" section. Show up and pay your respects at "Pat's Last Stand". In other developments, the European tour is coming along well. We're still looking for promoters in Hannover and either Rostock or New Brandenburg, so if you're reading this and can help us out, please get in touch.

FEBRUARY 3RD, 2006 -
The Mondragon Cafe & Bookstore needs your help. The worker's collective needs to clear its debt and relaunch itself to remain viable. This show will do its part to give them a fresh start and remain a viable alternative; a work environment that empowes workers. This show features a fantastic and diverse lineup that Winnipeg hasn't seen yet. Show up, have fun, and help out a worthy cause in the process. More info in the "live" section.

JANUARY 30TH, 2006 -
We're in the process of booking a July/August European tour. The tentative schedule is posted in our "live" section. We could use some help in getting a show in a few places, so if you live in this place called "Europe" and can help us out, please get in touch!

DECEMBER 20TH, 2005 -
We're home! After over four weeks on the road, it's great to be back in Winnipeg... Not that we didn't have a total blast on tour. We're slowly completing a huge thank-you list on the intro page. To everyone who went to our shows or let us sleep on their floor or fed us a delicious meal or provided us with good conversation and fun times, thank you!

And guess what? We finally have our new 8-song CD on hand! Those interested in buying a copy via the internet or mailorder can do so through Primitive Air Raid. We'll be giving it a proper release on January 7th, when we play at the Bike Dump with Shock 'Em Dead (this will be their last show ever), the Formaldehyde Junkes (from Minneapolis), No Foolin' and Search & Destroy. This is one packed lineup of raw hardcore so make sure you show up and let loose!

NOVEMBER 27TH 2005 -
The tour has been going great! We're in Austin right now and played with World Burns To Death and Gouka last night. It looks like we're going to be playing a last minute show on a bridge somewhere in Austin with Gouka (our fourth and last show with them) and Signal Lost before making our way to Las Cruces. If you come out and see us on our tour, make sure you approach us and say "hi" at some point.

NOVEMBER 17TH, 2005 -
Our CDs have been shipped successfully to the US... We'll be picking them up today. So to those attending all future tour dates... Bring some extra cash to pick up our awesome and brand-spanking-new 8-song EP! We also have 2 new t-shirt designs and a tour-exclusive cassette collection of our split EP and compilation output.

OCTOBER 29, 2005 -
There have been some delays in pressing the 8-song 12" that's due out on Ugly Pop, so in order to have the new release available for tour, Primitive Air Raid will be issuing the recordings on CD format as well. And consequently... Under Pressure will be having a CD release show/tour benefit on Sunday, November 13th at the Label Gallery (510 Portage Ave). Electro Quarterstaff, the Detentions and No Foolin' will be playing. Come out and show your support! More info in the "live" section. Another reminder... check out the two new songs here!

OCTOBER 23, 2005 -
We ended up taking the MP3s down temporarily to revise the mix but now the 8-song self-titled 12" is mixed and mastered... and the songs are once again available for download. Check them out!! And there is more news tied in with this release: in addition to these songs being released on 12" vinyl courtesy of Ugly Pop, Primitive Air Raid will be doing a CD. And in other developments... Under Pressure's US/Western Canada tour is filling out very nicely. We'll be playing multiple dates with the likes of the Bill Bondsmen, World Burns To Death and Gouka (Japan). Check the "live" section for details...

OCTOBER 12, 2005 -
At last! Two new songs ("Versus" and "1985") from the upcoming Ugly Pop 12" EP are now available for download in the "releases" section!

OCTOBER 10, 2005 -
Okay folks... Two developments! First off, our US/Western Canada tour dates have been posted in the "live" section. Information is being updated as details are hammered out. Secondly, we are about to sequence and master the 8-song Ugly Pop 12" EP. It's sounding absolutely incredible. Expect that sucker to surface before the new year, hopefully in time for our tour. We'll hopefully have a few previews up shortly... Check back soon!

SEPTEMBER 8, 2005 -
Under Pressure will be playing with the Insaniacs at the Hemp Rock on Sunday, September 18th, and with Modern Life Is War and KEN mode on Thursday, September 29th. More information in the "live" section.

We've added some photographs to the site. They were taken by our friend Jon Schledewitz. Some are from a recent album photoshoot, and others are from our recent show at the Lipton house. We're currently in the process of booking a series of local shows that will lead up the launch of our first full US tour. More details coming soon...

AUGUST 17, 2005 -
Time for a new look for the website. And almost time for new recordings. We're now in the final stages of mixing the full length and have started in on the artwork. The new material is sounding amazing, surpassing anything we've ever done before. Within the next few days, Cam and Pat will be recording vocals and guitar to wrap up our 8-song EP.

Just a reminder... We're playing OpenCity 2005 on Friday, August 19th at Kismat (located at 280 Fort St, across from Winnipeg Square). Other bands playing that night included Hide Your Daughters, Shock 'Em Dead, the Quiffs and Hot Live Guys. A slew of other bands, including the amazing Detentions, are playing the following night at the same place. These shows are part of a series of events promoting open source programming (eg/ LINUX) and creative commons copyright (a form of copyright that permits free distribution but prohibits unauthorized profiting). Everything kicks off at 7 PM (we'll likely go on around 9 PM) and admission is $5. All-ages.
