It was about time I got back out with my camera. I hardly shot at all this summer. Sad but an upcoming trip to India has me looking forward.

Spontaneously decided to take a drive out to Kenora with a friend. It’s probably been at least 5 years since I’ve been out there. Althought I’ve driven laps around the US with my old punk band in recent years, and have finally started traveling to far-off corners of the world (a long time dream of mine), I almost never get to escape my city (Winnipeg) and enjoy short excursions. I haven’t owned a car since the late 90′s, so if I ever leave home, it’s on a big month-long adventure, never an afternoon here, or a weekend there. Having grown up in rural Manitoba before landing myself in the “big city” in my early adulthood, wandering back roads and haunting little roadside attractions is something my life has been missing out on for a few decades now. I plan on buying a motorcycle early next Spring so I can revisit all these wonderful little places hidden in my backyard. These shots were taken hastily and are nothing special but I suppose this entry can serve as a reminder that I need to return here. I loved what I found there and hope to spend some time wandering it intensively… next year.
